During a consultation, if you and the stylist agree on a plan of action and proceed, and the stylist does the accepted colour / method, but you don't like it after, the correction to this will be a chargeable service. For example, you choose to have Viking blonde tape ins 20” and then you decide you no longer like the method, this will be a chargeable service to redo, as you and the stylist agreed on the extensions at consultation.
When purchasing new extensions, there are a number of things to be aware of which will cause damage to your hair extensions if the hair is exposed to them.
1. Strictly avoid salt water; as salt is a natural dehydrator it can cause your hair to become extremely dry, discoloured and difficult to manage.
2. Avoid getting your hair wet in swimming pools as the chlorine content in the water will also damage hair extensions, causing matting and discolouration.
3. Wear a hat in the sun where possible or use a UV protection spray for your hair as UV rays will discolour hair extensions.
4. Be aware that tongs, hair irons and heated rollers can be used on your hair extensions, however it is advisable to minimise the use of heated tools where possible as they will cause damage to your hair extensions (and your own hair), and never apply heat to the hair over 180°c.
The lifespan of your hair extensions will depend on the aftercare. We don’t guarantee a definitive lifespan on any type of hair extensions due to them being a natural consumable product.
We don’t recommend silver shampoos and toners as they can damage the cuticle which will affect the lifespan of your hair extensions. We also don’t recommend colour on hair extensions; any colouring of extensions is done entirely at your own risk.
Light blonde coloured hair extensions will have a shorter life span due to the bleach content. Lighter shades will also require more care and less heat application to increase their lifespan.
Wash your hair 2-3 times a week with Beauty Works / Balmain aftercare products. Excess washing and styling will damage the cuticle and decrease the lifespan of your hair extensions.
Take care of your hair extensions as you would your own natural hair and remember that like your natural hair, your extensions can be easily damaged with too much heat. Using heat on hair extensions will reduce their lifespan.
Hair extensions need regular maintenance appointments, as your own hair will grow by approximately 1.5 inches within three months. We recommend maintenance appointments every 6-8 weeks, depending on the application method.
If maintenance appointments are not kept and the above aftercare advice is not followed, Luxhair, Beautyworks or Balmain cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your own hair or the hair extensions.
Please note if any of your extensions fall out after the first week we will not fit them back in for free, you will be charged if you would like this replaced in the hair as this will be an aftercare issue. Matted hair is also additional if you have not looking after them well to cause matting.
Once you have your hair extensions fitted, your hair is only guaranteed if you use the correct aftercare. Your hair cannot be guaranteed its lifespan or if issues occur with the hair, both companies will ask what products you have used. If you cannot provide proof you purchased the appropriate products to keep your hair healthy they will not be able to help why your hair isn’t in the correct condition.

During a consultation, if you and the stylist agree on a plan of action and proceed, and the stylist does the accepted colour, but you don't like it after, the correction to this will be a chargeable service. For example, you choose to have balayage and then you decide the root colour does not suit you, this will be a chargeable service to redo, as you and the stylist agreed on the colour at consultation.
When having your consultation you may be told that your hair will take more than one visit to achieve the look you desire. Everyone is different!
Once you have had your hair done, if you leave the salon and decide you no longer like your hair you will be charged for another service if carried out.
Toners do fade, they can wash out if not properly looked after on your end. They last between 2 - 6 weeks. This means your hair will appear warmer especially if you went for a cooler / neutral toner on your appointment. All blondes fade warm.
Creative vivid colours will only last 2-6 weeks. If you do not use the correct aftercare or professional products, they will most likely only last a week. These services will also need topping up regularly to be maintained, so please have in mind how expensive vivids can be.
If you are looking for a dramatic change, this does not happen over night and is not going to be cheap. Unfortunately you cannot go dark to light straight away especially when not wanting really warm hair. With going lighter and wanting a big change we will need you in every 6-8 weeks for multiple sessions to get you to your goal.
We can only do our very best especially if you are naturally very dark or have previous colour on your hair - this makes it a longer process!
Images on Instagram are mostly edited for visual purposes - everyones hair is different and lifts differently. We want you to have the best hair but also want you to have healthy hair.
After each hair appointment we take photos of each of our clients and upload them on our social media accounts, website or our google page. Signing this form you are happy for us to use this content only for the salons use only.
